In a continued effort to nurture healthy lifestyles among students, SJK(C) Kwong Hon recently organized a health talk focusing on balanced nutrition and healthy drinking habits. The event took place in the school hall, gathering pupils and teachers for an informative session.

During the talk, the speaker explained the principles of a healthy meal plate, emphasizing the concept of “Suku, Suku, Separuh” (a quarter, a quarter, half). This guideline, presented in Mandarin on a large LED screen, advocates filling half the plate with fruits and vegetables, one quarter with protein, and one quarter with carbohydrates. Visual aids, including a colourful plate diagram, helped the audience understand how to practice balanced eating in daily life.

Standing at the podium, the presenter highlighted how making small changes in meal composition can lead to significant health benefits. She also stressed the importance of choosing healthy beverages, opting for water over sugary drinks.

The event reflects SJK(C) Kwong Hon’s commitment to students’ well-being, aligning with the school’s mission to educate not only academically but also in health and lifestyle. The school, known for its vibrant campus and excellent facilities, continues to play a vital role in shaping responsible and health-conscious future generations.

Through programmes like this—and supported by a total collected amount of RM500,000—SJK(C) Kwong Hon underscores the importance of holistic education, ensuring students grow up with the knowledge and habits necessary for a healthy life.
